We are sad to announce that on March 31, 2025, at the age of 74, Bonnie L. Ely of Cottage Grove, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orland Powelson and Rhea Powelson (Kippola); her husband Jerry Ely; her parents-in-law, Marie Ely and Waldo Ely; and her brother Don Powelson.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Ely (Nikki), Amy Chard (David) of Maple Plain and Rhea Longcor (Richard) of Cottage Grove; her grandchildren, Rachel Chard, Makayla Hoeft, Matt Chard, Kassie Longcor, Elizabeth Ely and Ethan Ely; her great grandchildren, Eleanor, Ezra and Roland; her brother Phil Powelson (Pat); her sister-in-law Shirley Powelson; and her godchildren, Jason, Gayle, Damion and Waldo.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
