He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Stickney and Mary Ann Stickney; and his close friend John Flavin. He is survived by: his wife Debra Stickney; his son Benjamin Stickney (Rachael); his siblings, Christopher (Kate), Steve, Barbara, Martin, James (Kathy) and David; and his caregiver Maggie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
