He was predeceased by: his parents, Björn Iversen and Ragnhild Iversen (Andersen); and his brother Rolf. He is survived by: his wife Anja; his children, Hilde Smith (Dan), Kirsten Gjere (Mike) and Bjørn Iversen; his grandchildren, Ingrid, Peter, Ben and Mai; and his sister Anne Fossnes (Odd).
