He is survived by: his friend Roger Hynek; his wife Dorothy Vangsness of Milbank, SD; his children, Mike Vangsness (Amber Joy) of Buffalo, MN, Gary Vangsness (Marcia) of Odessa, MN, Mark Vangsness (Tina) of Morton, MN and Julie Vangsness of St. Cloud, MN; his stepdaughter Sandra Goetsch (Delaine) of Prior Lake, MN; and his sister-in-law Margaret Fishbeck of Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
