He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Folkestad and LaVon Sowada (Shermer); and his siblings, Scott Folkestad, Daniel and Derrell Sowada.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen Folkestad (Hartley); his son Nathan Folkestad (Laura); his grandson Grant Folkestad; his daughter Bonnie Winn (Richie); his granddaughter Hazel Winn; and his siblings, Richard Folkestad (Colleen), Keith Folkestad, Audrey Wellman (Terry), Carrie Olson and Debbie Sowada. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
