He was predeceased by: his mother Eunice; and his brother Jerry. He is survived by: his brother Marc Chandler; his children, Lorie, Kim (Brian) and James (Theresa); his grandchildren, Jacob, Devin, Ashley, Joey and Brianne; and his great grandchildren, Gaige, Emma Sue and Joseph, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
