He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond and Mollie; his wife Dolores; his daughter Amanda; and his siblings, Roland "Buzz" and Ramona Thompson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Beverly Ramey, Mary Poff (Bob Kanter) and Mollie Fowler; his close friend Ella Kingsley; his friend Lonny Lee; his siblings, Richard Ramey (Barbara) and RaeAnn Kedrowski; and also Virginia Dorn. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
