She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Babst and Clara Babst; her husband Jay C. Johnston; and her sisters, Ruth Jensen, Leona Hartjen, Dorthea Beyer, Helen Beyer and Della Cawelti.
She is survived by: her daughter Connie Mae Petersen (Johnston); her grandson Eric Petersen (Lisa); and her sister Dalla Beyer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
