It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jorge E. Batres of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, who passed away on September 1, 2020, at the age of 17, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kristy Matute Gonzalez of Coon Rapids and Edgar Carrera of Sioux Falls; his grandmother Deb Hanson of Brandon, SD; his siblings, Edgar Carrera, Lesly Macario, Julieann Orozco, Nikila Royce, Daniel Orozco, Oriana Matute Gonzalez, David Carrera, Delano Fields and Anton Stansbury; his grandfather George Royce; and his pet Chico. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and best friends.
