He is survived by: his wife Paula Leahy-Schmidt; his grandchildren, Krista, Tom Streff (Isaac), Dan, Holly Schmidt, Mackenzie, Abigail, Halley, Damien, Zakary and Anastasia Leahy; and his sisters, Joanne Harste (Ken) and Julie Pitt.
