He was predeceased by : his wife June Tovson; his former wife Elizabeth Schurmann (Betty); his parents, Hubert Diers and Alice Diers; and his sister-in-law Olive Tovson.
He is survived by : his brother Dale Diers (Helen); his children, Mark Diers (Patty), Janis Judd (Dave), Carol Davis (Gary) and Dean Diers (Michele); his grandchildren, Jeff Diers (Leisha), Keith Diers (Bridgett), Andy Judd (Elizabeth), Beth Smith (Dusty), Daryl Davis (Holly), Dylan Davis (Trish), Amanda Diers (Aaron), Casey Walz (Brennan) and Ben Diers; his step-children, Bruce Schurmann (Rebecca), Brian Schurmann (Heidi) and Brenda Jean; and his step-grandchildren, Theresa Linder (Bob), Travis Schurmann and Kaitlyn Schurmann. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
