He was predeceased by: his parents, Clint and Ruby; and his sister Peg Odell (Byron). He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Cathy Pagels, Nathan and Rodney (Sue); his grandchildren, Christy, Alex, David and Courtney; his great grandchild Sybil; his nephew Bruce; his nieces, Brenda and Carolyn; and his children, Nate and Rod. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
