He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sr. Sobyra and Stella Sobyra (Bernal); his son Master Sergeant Frank M. Sobyra; and his brothers, Stanley Sobyra and Raymond Sobyra.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sobyra; his children, William Sobyra (Sherri) and Julie Schelde (Peter); his grandchildren, Alicia Witte, Astion Schelde (Cierra Morris), William Sobyra IV (Caleesha), Courtney Zeig (Zack), Mikaela Schelde, Bridget Schelde and Cheyenne Schelde; his great grandchildren, Oliver Schelde, Rhett Zeig and Parker Klimek; his sister Delores Sobyra; his son Torben Bruun (Susanne); and his grandchildren, Anne Kathrine and Frederick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family members.
