He is survived by: his wife Ellen "Joy" Johnson of Virginia; his children, Kevin Johnson (Theresa) of Dothan and Tammy Fox (Farley) of Britt; and his grandchildren, Richard Johnson, Renee Pemberton and Heather Johnson. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous step-children and step grandchildren.
