He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Zwaschka and Louisa Zwaschka (Schroepfer); his former wife Dolores (Suess); and his siblings, Lucille Hoffmann (Roman) and Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Eischen (Betty); his children, Joanne Junker (Glen), Judy Augustin, Janice Pederson, Dennis (Susan) and James (Tami) of North Mankato; his grandchildren, Lana (Mike), Gina (Scott), Kurt (Jolee), Beth (Jake), Keith (Kathy), Wendy (Tom), Tom, Jonathan, Olivia, Alex and Isabel; his brother Melvin; and his sister-in-law Agnes Zwaschka. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
