George Carlson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2025, at the age of 92, George Carlson of Columbia Heights, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though George may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Carlson and Nora Carlson; his wife Lois Andersen; and his siblings, Ted and Victoria.
He is survived by: his sister Burdell DeMuth; his daughters, Phyllis Giebner (Norman) and Joan Carlson (Dan Huenneke); and his grandchildren, Sam Giebner (Larissa), Tiffany Salmey (Nick) and Derek Huenneke. He is also survived by two step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren, and 8 nieces and nephews.
In honor of his generous spirit, the family asks that donations be made to Minnesota Methodist Builders Club (https://www.dkmnmf.org. .) Though we are sad George is no longer with us, his family feels very blessed to have had him in our lives for so long.
