He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Hardel; his children, Lisa Bode (Mark Kley), Douglas Bode (Sandy), Russell Bode (Sarah) and Tim Bode; his grandchildren, Ashley Betz, Trisha Russel (Derek), Shawn Bode (Sydney), Dylan Bode (Kayla Markgraf), Ryan Bode, Jacob Bode, Brynna Bode, Austin Bode (Brianna), Abby Bode (Jack) and Aiden Bode; his great grandchildren, Haylie Betz, Ruby Bode and Elsie Bode; his sisters, Joyce Lingbeck (Bob) of New Ulm and Mavis Diedrick (Tom) of New Ulm; and his brother-in-law Darwin Hardel (Jean) of Nicollet. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (601 E 2nd St, Waconia, MN 55387). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
