He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Lou; his children, Mark Baerlin, Gretchen McDaniel (Jack) and David Baerlin (Amy); his grandchildren, Avery Baerlin and Lauren Baerlin; his parents, Enos Baerlin and Esther Baerlin; his sister Betty; his nieces and nephews, Terry Allen (Cathy), Vicky, Cindy, Jana Erickson, Paul Erickson (Nesrin), Linda Paul (Jordan), Danielle Bell and Damon Wright (Shamika); and his siblings-in-law, Janet, Dennis Wright (Denise) and Chuck.
