He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanette DeLong; his parents, Joseph Rutledge Clements and Eileen O'Brien Clements; and his sisters, Josephine Clements, Mary Tapp, Alice Johnson and Nancy Lovaas.
He is survived by: his siblings, Richard Clements and Eileen Beaver; his children, Benedict Clements (Lori), Mary Michaels (John), Elizabeth Sievert (Paul), Anastasia Eldredge (Thomas), Joseph Clements (Jennifer) and Catherine Clements (Bryan Knisley); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Natalia Clements, Lisa Kema (Charles), Christopher Michaels, Madeline Sievert, Nathan Sievert, Alexander Eldredge, Emma Eldredge, Eleanor Clements, Andrew Clements, Luke Clements, Wyatt Knisley and James Knisley. He is also survived by friends and relatives.
In 1993 the NCMA honored Joe with their Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to their organization over the course of his career.
