He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Ruegemer and Magdalena Ruegemer (Blonigen); his wife Aurelia "Rale" Kuhl; his children-in-law, Marlin Schroeder, Vernon Boos and Judy Ruegemer; his grandson-in-law James Dean; and his siblings, Sylvester (RoseMary), Marcella Zierden (Art), Viola Zierden (Jerome), Edwin, Lorella Pundsack (Elmer), Virgil (Marlene) and Lorraine Hoffman (Gerald).
He is survived by: his children, Bernice Schroeder of St. Michael, David of St. Joseph, Alan of Phenix City, AL, Joan Frie (Dan "Simon") of Clear Lake, Susan Petersen (Bruce) of Waite Park, Ruth Boos of St. Joseph and James (Carol) of Cold Spring; his brother Lawrence (Mary) of Richmond; and his sister-in-law Inez Ruegemer of Park Rapids. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
