It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Elaine Nelson of Cokato, Minnesota, who passed away on December 11, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Awalt Birkholz and Frieda Birkholz (Stueven); her husband Peter Nelson; her brothers, Wilton Birkholz and Virgil Birkholz; her friend Phil Thinesen; and her pet Banana Joe.

She is survived by: her siblings, Ruby Drusch (Don) and Merrill Birkholz; her sister-in-law Ann Birkholz; and her foster son Quyen Nguyen.
