He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mark Kotila and Joan Kotila; his wife Mary; his children, Kevin Mattila (Savannah), Allison Josephson (Hunter), Hanna, Gretchen Mattila, Louise, Kate and Russell Kotila; his grandchildren, Wynn, Lucy Mattila and Gus Josephson; his siblings, Annika Mattila (Samuel), Mitchell (Eetta), Bridget Ylitalo (Jeffrey), Jack (Leah), Natasha Jurvakainen (Greg), Colin (Kayla), Julie Lake (Patrick), Ashley Lake (Nathan), Tatiana Wittenberg (Eric), Jordan (Linda Haataja), Taylor Wuollet (Josh) and Shauna Davison (Kyle); his parents-in-law, Paul and Sue Wittenberg; and his grandparents, Nels, Ardyce Kotila, Paul and Millie Raisanen. He was also cherished by sisters and brothers-in-law, many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
