She is survived by: her parent Selma Kotila; her daughter Karen Hillstrom; her grandchildren, James Lantto, Daniel Jarl, Keith Larson and John Hillstrom; her spouse Thomas Jarl; and her children, Steven Jarl (Cheryl), Vicki Lantto (Chris), Janice Christenson, Kathy Jarl, Cindy Worden (Mike), Shari Rokala (Phil), Brenda Welte (Cyrus), David Jarl (Susan), Mary Ruonavaara (Nathan) and Joe Jarl (Kari). She is also survived by 38 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
