He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Clyde and Edward Matthews; his grandchildren, Dustin Clyde (Vanessa), Casey Clyde (Sara) and Ciera Stine (Jared); his great grandchild Earl Paul Stine; his stepchildren, Debbie Pierce (Brian), Dawn Pike (Jeff) and David Bettridge; and his siblings, Don Matthews (Nancy), Jimmy George (Liz), Linda Smith, Nancy Hedlund (Dwayne), Janice Sorenson and Carol Sorheim (Elroy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
