It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William R. Carpenter of Cloquet, Minnesota, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Marilyn Carpenter; his brother Tim Diver; his grandparents, William Sr. and Marie Diver; his uncle Charlin Diver; and his aunt Eleanore "Ching" LaFave.
He is survived by: his son Justice Carpenter; his father Wilbert "Duke" Hietala Jr. (Clarice); his brother Michael LaFave (Brenda); his stepsiblings, Christian Thygeson and Jill Erickson; his brother Ryan Paulson; and his caregivers, Nic and Nolan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
