He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schmidt and Emma Schmidt (Trapp); his wife Lois Champeaux; and his brothers, Daniel, William, James, Chris, Leo and Robert Schmidt.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Brown (David Rasmussen), Steven Schmidt (Deborah K.) and Warren Schmidt (Deborah L.); his sisters, Mary Bryant and Theresa Jean Nielsen; his close friend Carol Sedor; and also, David Sedor and Dawn Marie Drechsler (Paul). He is also survived by grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
