He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Strand and Doris Strand (Caron); his stepson Andy Lamminen; his brothers, Mark and Daniel; and his brother-in-law Ray Roybal.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Strand; his granddaughter Elayna Kay Lamminen; and his siblings, Thomas (Peggy), Gloria Roybal, David (Tracy), Julie Lahti (Don) and Robin (Cathy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
