He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Maki and Anna Maki; his sons, David and Jonathan; and his brothers, Allen, Kenneth and Steven.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Roy "Junior" Maki (Sue), Daniel Maki (Penny), Tina Gibson (Brett) and Charles Maki (Ronnie Swenson); his siblings, Myrt Wirtanen (Art), Gert Erickson (Wes) and Sue Weets (Del); and his siblings-in-law, Steve Hills (Marsha) and Elvera Maki (Allen). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
