He was predeceased by: his parent Drs; his wife Barbara; his siblings, Kathleen Gawboy, Mark and Dale; and his nephew Galen Gawboy.
He is survived by: his sisters, Nancy Luomala and Dierre Puumala; his children, Victoria Heren (Timothy), Michael Puumala (Jennifer), Laura Berdahl (Timothy) and Matthew Puumala (Susan); and his grandchildren, Sanna, Karin Berdahl, Thomas Heren, Eric, Daniel Puumala, Soren and Helen Puumala. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
