He was predeceased by: his father Dennis Schendel; his brother Vince "Bug" Mullen Sr.; and his grandparents, Victoria, Harold Flash, Helen and Lawrence Schendel.

He is survived by: his mother Shirley Bassett (Terry); his children, Levi Martineau (Lynsy Lehikoinen) of Cloquet, Sterling Martineau (Isabel Boyd) of Cloquet and Allison Martineau (Zack Kitto) of Cloquet; his grandchildren, Anorah Martineau, Mila Martineau, Miley Martineau, Joseph Kitto and Loretta Kitto; his siblings, Matt DeFoe and Stacey Thrower; and his close friend Kathy Aubid. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and other family and friends.
