He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hackensmith and Gladys Hackensmith; his wife Fran; his son Brent; and his siblings, Tony, Robert Hackensmith, Twyla Puotinen and Carolyn Dion.
He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Widell, Belynda Kort, Sue Burggraff (Pat) and Tim Tow (Melissa). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
