She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Raisanen and Olga Raisanen (Siltanen); and her husband Edward Mettner. She is survived by: her son Tom Mettner (Linda); her grandsons, Dwayne Mettner (Katie) and Andrew Mettner (Kisber); and her great grandchildren, Emily, Edward and Elias Mettner.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Cloquet where Dorothy was a lifelong member.
