He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Benson and Signe Benson; his wife Marjorie Benson; and his brothers, Marvin, Mervin and Alden.
He is survived by: his brother Carl Benson (Naomi); his children, Scott Benson (Marni), John Benson (Roberto) and Lisa Kuharski (Joseph); his grandchildren, Christopher Benson (Beth), Laurel Benson (Christopher), Brandon Kuharski, Stephen Berndt (Caroline), Ryan Berndt (Mary) and Michael Berndt; and his great grandchildren, Cooper, Nolan, Bailey, Audrey, Carter, Juliet, Sutton and Lily. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
