He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Athey and Marilyn Athey (Duncan); his brother Larry; and his son Jesse. He is survived by: his children, Heather Raffety (Chris) of Milbank, SD and Toby Athey of Albany, MN; his siblings, Bob Athey (Marcy), Dale Athey (Pam) of Panama City, FL and Teresa Athey of Willmar, MN; his grandchildren, Sylver, Morgan, Schyler and Leyton; and his great grandchild Liam.
