She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvid Putikka and Sylvia Putikka; her former husband Mishko Zakula; her daughter Marie Carol Santi; her brother Russell Putikka; her great grandchild Jack Butler; her nephews, Willy Wiita and Glen Santi; and her pet Sheba.
She is survived by: her spouse Eino Santi; her children, Elaine Santi of Iron, Eric Santi (Susan) of Iron and Lisa Butler (Don) of Iron; her stepdaughter Becky Sunder (John) of Shakopee; her grandchildren, Bobby Butler (Amber), Billy Butler (Wynona Clinton), Julie Butler (Ed Anderson) and Ivan Sunder; her great grandchildren, Maija, James, AnnaLisa and Johnathan; her sister Audrey Wiita; and her uncle Leo Kivela. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
From her early years involvement in Social Ministry at her home church now called Faith United of Iron, collecting donations for the American Heart Association, Bible study groups, starting up a bike club for kids in Kinney, Clinton Senior Citizens Club, Women's Advocates volunteer, to all her jobs and law enforcement career; people around her knew she cared for them and respected them.
