He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Block and Adeline Block (Kramer-Hobson); and his brothers, Dolford, Kenneth, Ernest Hobson, Raymond and Burton Block, Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Nancy; and his stepsons, Scott, David, Steve Ziebarth and Hobson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed toward the German/Jefferson Sportsman Club or the Cleveland Sons of the American Legion (SAL).
