She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Abeln and Maxine Abeln (Maxam); her sisters, Ceil Abeln, Marilyn Abeln and Bobbie Holthaus; her nephew Benjamin Abeln; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Holthaus, Kevin Heaton and Tom Ritten.
She is survived by: her husband Keith P. Heaton; her children, Jeff of Clearwater and Ali Tyznik (Shaun) of Maple Lake; her grandson Dakota; and her siblings, Dotty Koness (Bill) of Prior Lake, Mona Ritten of Sartell, Ken Abeln (Mary) of Maple Grove and Rick Abeln (Bonnie) of St. Cloud. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
