He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold B. Newman and Ida M. Newman (Peterson); his wife Helene; his son Gary; his great grandchild Shayah; and his siblings, Roger, Gerry, David, Judy and Pearl.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Shoutz (Bob Geske) of Princeton, Gloria Husom (Troy) of Fargo, ND, Sheila Jacobs (Mark), Duane Newman of Clearwater and Terry Newman (Melissa) of Albany; and his siblings, Harry Newman (Sherri) of Buffalo, Richard Newman (Kathy) of Elk River, MN, Linda Bourasa of Moorhead, MN and Leona Rairigh (Philip) of Bend, OR.. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
