He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Nelson and Anna Nelson (KenKnight); and his siblings, William (Billy), David, Paul and Carol Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Deloris (Johnson); and his children, Richard Nelson (Sandi) of Clearbrook, Tami Kalhagen (Orin) of Forest Lake, Gerald Nelson (Terri) of Clearbrook, Dwight Nelson of Solway and Trudi Kelm (Gary) of Bemidji. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
