He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Orton and Josephine Orton (Bautch); his former wife Peggy; his daughter Mary Kay; his siblings, David, Lester and Frances Trobec; and his niece Karen Gohman.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Stimmler Rhodes of Clear Lake; his siblings, Duane Orton (Janet) of Sauk Rapids and Mary Jo Wibbens (Dick) of Denver, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Trobec of St. Stephen and Betty Orton of Blaine. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Poor Clares Monastery in Sauk Rapids.
