He was predeceased by: his wife Lorraine; his parents, Albert and Florence; and his siblings, Russell, Marlin, Blanche Hardie and Lucille Bjerke.
He is survived by: his sons, Jan Hardie (Barb) of Olathe, KS and Mark Hardie (Sara) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Nicole Heisel, Elizabeth Ogden (Ryan), Luke Hardie, Kyler, Brock, Cole, Alea, Nathan, Gabrielle and Dominic Hardie; his great grandchildren, Prasten, Zane, Lee, Isaac and Joshua; his sister Mavis Stoltenburg (Denny); and his sister-in-law Avis Hardie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
