It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean LaRae Kolstad of Clarissa, Minnesota, who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Kolstad and Myrtle Kolstad (Steinka) of Eagle Bend; her sisters, Linda Johnson and Glenda Kolstad; her grandson Dalton May; her significant other Keith Rossow; her former husband Jay Tougas; and her stepson Nicholas Tougas.
She is survived by: her daughters, Taralee May (Jim) of Browerville and Colette Wieshalla (Jimmy) of Browerville; her grandchildren, Luke May (Gabby), Levi May of Browerville, Matthew May of Clarissa, Brooke Kolstad Kolstad (Gus Schwanke) of Browerville and Hope Kolstad (Brian Kunerth) of Browerville; her great grandchild Aurora Schwanke; her pet Shyla LaRae of Browerville; and her brothers, Brent Kolstad (Shirley) of Rapid City and Larry Kolstad (Pam) of South Carolina. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and greats; special friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred by the family.
