He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Akin; his daughters, Laura Merrill (Jeff) and Cynthia Cox; his sister-in-law Laura Davison; his sister Dorothy Penz; his half-brother Frank Davison; and his stepbrother Wayne. He is also survived by five grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one niece; three nephews.
