He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rysavy and Frances Rysavy (Vesely); his son Gerald "Bucky" Rysavy, Jr.; and his sisters, Geraldine "Geri" Marsolek and Darlene "Dolly" Kniefel.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Rysavy of Claremont; his daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" St (Joel) and Jody Christianson (Randy) of Claremont; his brother Robert "Bob" Rysavy (Nyla); his grandchildren, Mandy, Amy (Brad), Terri (Jonny), Nicole (Jody), Randy "Boo" (Katie), Tracy Tommy (Jason) and Toni; his great grandchildren, Gabi of Kory, AJ, Brody, Austin, Wyatt, Logan, Addi, Joey, Mason, Jacob, Ella, Declan, Lilly, Cheston, Corwin, Brayden, Stella, Cole and Tripp; and his great great grandchild Dom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society, the ALS Association or Ecumen Hospice.
