He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Oakland of Montevideo; his children, Rhonda Fitzsimmons (Brad) of St. Cloud, Romelle Anfinson (Ross) of Sauk Rapids and Kyle Fokken (Heather) of Minneapolis; his grandchildren, Anne Treadway (Ross) of St. Cloud, Kasjen and Anika Fokken of Minneapolis; his great grandchildren, Eleanor and Abigail Treadway; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Fokken of Willmar, Marlyn Fokken of Montevideo and Bart Talaasen of Colorado. He is also survived by nieces, nephews; sister-in-law.
