He was predeceased by: his parents, John Swanson and Olive Swanson (Weiland); his wife June Ethel Plowman; his brothers, Adrian and Ervin Swanson; and his siblings-in-law, Daryl Johnson, Russell Plowman and Delores Bergfalk (Charles).
He is survived by: his son David Swanson (Brenda) of Bellevue; his grandson Christian Swanson of Omaha, Nebraska; his brother John Swanson (Wilmette) of Laurens; and his sisters-in-law, Eunice Johnson of Raymond, Donna Plowman of San Diego and Ruby Swanson of Fullerton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
