He was predeceased by: his wife Karna; his parents, John Albert and Alice; and his brother James. He is survived by: his children, Diana Waldoch (Mark), Steve, Mike (Reesa), Rick and Gary; his grandchildren, Alex, Zach, Trevor, Hayley, Chad, Lauren, Sam, Tara, Anna and Megan; his sisters, Geri, Joleen and Jeannie; and his pet Britta.
