It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Velde of Chokio, Minnesota, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Anderson and Sylvia Anderson (Boldenow); her former husband Bernard Wade; her grandson Carliss Gullord; and her stepson Steve Velde.
She is survived by: her husband James Velde of Alexandria; her children, Kay Gullord of Anoka, Brad Wade (Linda) of Oberlin, KS, Rodney Wade of Moorhead, Julie Ehrp of Chokio and John Wade of Montevideo; and her stepchildren, Jon Velde and Julie Propst of Alexandria. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings of up to 250 people. The use of face masks by attendees is required, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean.
