She was predeceased by: her parents, George Schliep and Sophia Schliep (Williams); her brother George Schliep Jr.; and her grandson Jordan Schrupp. She is survived by: her husband Wilfried Meers of Chokio, MN; and her children, Greg Meers (Charlene) of Clitherall, MN, Brad Meers (Nancy) and Robin Schrupp (Randy) of Pierre, SD. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
