It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Madsen (Chokio, Minnesota), who passed away on September 5, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Zimmerman and Antonia Zimmerman (Fischer); her husband Elmer; and her siblings, Virginia Curtis, Irene Duin, Isabelle Vader, Arlys O'Connor, Judi Gregory, Ivan and Kenneth Zimmerman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Townsend of Pipestone, MN, Christine Wulff (Fritz) of Liberty, TX, Cindy Taffe (David) of Morris, MN and Jill Hennessy (Rick) of Graceville, MN; her grandchildren, Robb Townsend (Toni), Matthew Townsend (LeRisa), Andrew Townsend, Sarah Gallander (John), Erika Tolar, Emily Doyle (Mike), Amanda Blom (Aaron), Lacey Veenendaal (Greg), Bryan Taffe (Becky), Joshua Hennessy (Lisa), Justin Hennessy, Rhonda Hennessy and Jordon Hennessy (Brietta); her great grandchildren, Dylan, Brady, Dominic Townsend, Mason, Maddox Townsend, Seth, Eva, Kira Gallander, Gavin Tolar, Micah, Bryce, Olivia Doyle, Kiya, Hayden Blom, Liam, Eliana, Rowan Veenendaal, Lucia, Jameson, Josephine Taffe, Andrew, Tessa Hennessy, Gunner, Tucker Hennessy, Isaac Ebnet, Makaya, Logan and Bryson Hennessy; and her sister-in-law Jean Zimbrick of Graceville, MN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
